Family Traditions: Roots of My Heritage
This painting won a first prize for Acrylics in the State of Texas in the American Heritage Contest sponsored by NSDAR, 2004.
This is a Fourth of July Celebration based on how our family celebrated the birthday of the United States of America for many years in Heritage Park. President John Adams said, "It ought to be solemnized with pomp... from one end of the continent to the other." This painting is reminiscent of how families of our country traditionally celebrated the "roots of their heritage."
